About Us

For more than 25 years, we’ve had the honour of supporting many of the most significant events impacting Indigenous Peoples and communities across Canada. As an Indigenous organization grounded in culture and protocol, we create spaces where western and Indigenous perspectives can come together. Every project we support is guided by cultural safety, care, and trauma-informed practice.

Our Purpose

We support meaningful conversations that create positive impact for Indigenous communities. Through event planning, reporting, art, and experiences, we help bring people together to build a better future for future generations.

Naut’sa mawt Event Management is part of the Naut’sa mawt Resources Group, the economic development corporation of the Naut’sa mawt Tribal Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating programs and services that positively impact Indigenous Peoples.

The Heron

The great blue heron has long stood as a sentinel—patient, wise, and attuned to the world around it. It listens and watches, moving when the time is right. It reminds us to carry wisdom and intention into the ways we gather.

“The great blue heron was like a sentinel to our Nations. The great blue herons would show us signs as to what was happening in our Nation. The signs were about other people approaching or arrival of predators. You had to be watching to know the signs…They knew the climate, the seasons, and us humans, too.”

~ Elder Ruth Adams

Deeply connected to the community, herons move between water, land, and sky, always aware of their surroundings and those nearby. They guide us and remind us that strength comes from being present and connected.

“The great blue heron way of life is our way of life.”

~ Elder Ruth Adams, Scəẁaθən Məsteyəxʷ
